Astrology
Astrology is essentially a superstition that dates back to 1000BC in Babylon. Having a look at the movement of planets elders believed that the position of planets in your birth determine your life. Although there are more complicated permutations behind the belief, the basis is the movement of planets along the band of stars that we know as the Zodiac.
Astronomy
Astronomy is not the existence or to say that it does not recognize anything as astrology, but superstition. Astronomy focuses on scientific and mathematical computations of all above and below us. Astronomy is based on scientific evidence. Although there are many theories unexplained, they are mainly based on an approximation from earlier observations and calculations.
Zodiac
The group of stars around the ecliptic, the area through which the sun appears to move. Seems to move, that the Earth is rotating around the sun. This movement and the path creates the illusion that the sun movement.
Astrology and astronomy differences.
As stressed by the first is seen as superstition, the second as a science. Astrology 12 star signs used to divide the zodiac and Astronomy 13 signs. The constellation of Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer is a stretch of sky through which the planets and the Sun appears to move. The fact that the year of 12 months may have influenced the decision to leave the Ophiuchus.
In Conclusion
The predictions made by astrologers are correct sometimes bewildering, but you will not find an astronomer who has seriously astrology. The opposite is my personal observation. You have trouble finding an astrologer able to show the planets in the sky. Distances in space, making the influence of planets on the life of man is a very questionable.
