Astrology and the Truth - An Unsettling Thought By Leon Steyn

The early Egyptians were very superstitious. Although their life has a close link between the here and now and life hereafter. For them, the Pharaohs were more than men. They were gods that will continue once the decision has left Egypt to Heaven. In harmony they circle the earth with Osiris, until the day of reckoning, to come back and restart the right people.
But the people wanted to know what the future may bring May. Each mother who could afford it took her newborn to an astrologer for preparing his horoscope and its future, they say. With love and new-born baby in his hand and his dream of a bright future in her heart, she waited to hear the outcome of these cards.
Perhaps the mother of the boy Pharaoh took him to the astrologer. After searching the best person in the reading and interpretation of what the stars revealed. So if what she learned. What the wise saying that it wanted to hear? A tale of prosperity, long life and a beautiful woman? If yes it is, in turn, assured that his newborn son would have anything bad to come his way? Today, we know what the astrologer should have said:
Your son will grow up in a palace. It will be rich and get married very young. It will be the rule in Egypt before they write and read correctly. It will double crown of Egypt before each person before him. His wife is blessed with exceptional beauty, she inherited from her mother. And then, shining with pride, he sought to it, suddenly his mercy. This is quite true, but in less than 10 years time this will be over and he dies.
King Tutankhamun died when he was 17 or 18 years later, he married when he was 10 and has ruled Egypt as a boy with toys, but nothing on his mind.
