Do you know the difference between the two? Many people do not. In short Astronomy is a science based on observations of stars. And astrology is considered fortunetelling.
People like Linda Goodman has done much to convince people that astrology is more likely to say. His description of nature are sometimes surprisingly accurate. I mentioned in a previous article, the astronomer will take astrology seriously. However, there was one.
The analyst Kepler. Johannes Kepler was born in 1571 and seems to have a chance against him with a father who was unreliable and a mother who was very unpopular. She was accused of witchcraft, but acquitted after three years. He eventually won a scholarship to the University of Tubingen. He wanted to become a Lutheran pastor, but eventually the teaching of mathematics and astronomy. Thanks to what many feel as if by chance he had of weather and to bring about an almanac. In its forecasts were met, he made a reputation as an astrologer. Later in his life, he still won silver thanks to his almanacs.
Kepler was an astronomer or does it benefit from the money that came with his reputation? He believed in the theory that the sun was the center of the universe. It is difficult to say, but he involved in the study of the movement of planets and with a strong capacity to formulate the mathematical laws of the decision of movement of planets. He also studied the motion of Mars in particular. By doing so, he also continued its participation in numerology and astrology. Kepler finally proved the Copernican theory as an accurate description of heaven and he died in 1630.
Although it was associated with astrology, numerology and astronomy, his work has paved the way for modern astronomy. I am not convinced that astrology Kepler took seriously and believe his accurate forecasts of weather rather came from his exceptional understanding of nature. Anyone studying the stars, especially in those days, was to have spent many hours outside. It is obviously a keen observer of things around him and selling his almanacs put in a position to print the Rudolphine Tables, his masterpiece.
